Privacy
What happens with your data.
Short version: this site sets no cookies, measures nothing and shares nothing. The only data I receive is what you type into the contact form.
Who is responsible
Christopher van Vliet, sole trader registered in Sweden, org.nr 870308-9055. Reach me at info@christophervanvliet.com for anything on this page.
The contact form
When you send a message, this is what I get and why:
- Your name and email address, so I know who you are and can answer you.
- Your message, so I know what your question is.
- Your IP address and the date and time, recorded together with the message to stop automated spam.
The message is mailed to my own mailbox and a copy is written to a file on the server, which is not reachable from the web. That copy exists so a message can never be lost if mail delivery fails.
The legal ground is my legitimate interest in answering the people who contact me. I use your data for that answer and the conversation that follows it, and for nothing else. I never sell it, never use it for advertising and never feed it into a mailing list.
How long it is kept
Your message stays in my mailbox as part of our correspondence. The copy on the server stays until your question has been handled and is then removed. Want your message gone sooner? Mail me and I delete it.
Who else sees it
Two companies handle data on my behalf because they run the technology I use: Hostinger, which hosts this site and stores the file with form submissions, and Google Workspace, which runs my mailbox. Nobody else receives your message.
Cookies, measuring and third parties
This site places no cookies and asks for no consent, because there is nothing to consent to. There is no analytics, no advertising pixel and no social media script. The fonts are served from this server, so no font provider sees your visit either. The only requests your browser makes are to christophervanvliet.com.
Your rights
You can ask me what I have about you, ask me to correct it, and ask me to delete it. You can also object to my use of it or ask for a copy. Mail info@christophervanvliet.com and I will handle it. If you think I am doing it wrong, you can complain to the Swedish authority for privacy protection, Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten (IMY).
